I grew up cooking in my parent's hunting lodge in remote British Columbia. They had a cook book handed down from the previous lodge owners with wild game recipes, stories behind harvests & wild foraging which we would reference. While I am not a chef, I have an immense avocation for farm, field, forest, stream to table. I seek comfort in knowing the story of my food and knowing the efforts behind the plate. I've spent a large portion of my life behind a chopping knife, and take pride in serving new creations, sweet plates, riverside meals or plain old fashioned comfort foods.
