The Dallas | Originated by John Dallas is certainly indigenous to the river Spey, although contrary to the use of low set bronzed mallardslips for 'true' Spey flies, he used two slips of turkey, turning this into one of the few true Spey flies with turkey wings. Pattern tied from George Kelson, 'The Salmon Fly' 1895. This is my go to fly whilst steelheading in Northern British Columbia, with beguiling colour contrast and uniqueness.
Tied on a Partridge CS10-1 Bartleet using real metal tinsels from Lagartun.
